Association ALA in the First-ever Marketplace

ALA signed 2 agreements for a total of 1100 lv.

The first marketplace in Plovdiv took place with a big success on 21 June at Plovdiv Gallery in the building of the City Council – 45 signed agreements for a total of 30500 lv. Over 40 representatives of the Plovdiv business and non governmental sector took part in the event organized by “Tulip” Foundation.

Georgi Tiutiukov, Deputy Mayor of Plovdiv Municipality greeted the participants and the guests and gave a symbolic start of the marketplace by ringing the gong especially provided by Plovdiv Philharmonic orchestra.

The event lasted for about an hour during which time tens of representatives of business and civil organisations from the town and the region were “looking for” and “offering” various opportunities for cooperation, discussing exchange of goods, materials, services and voluntary work. There was only one rule on the marketplace – money are taboo.

The benefits for all participants at the marketplace are new partners, access to new resources and nets of contacts, opportunities for access to new customers, wider contacts with the local community, good reputation, participation in development of the local community, public recognition.

The support of Municipality of Plovdiv, Sport and Youth Policies Directorate and Interamerican Insurance Company branch Plovdiv was very important. The Marketplace in Plovdiv was realized in the frame of a project implemented with the financial support of the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.
